While in Law School, he also served as the Chair of the Veterans Legal Clinic and President of the Veterans Law Society, where he provided legal services to homeless veterans and helped create a Veterans Benefits course at UCLA.
David is a veteran, himself, and comes from a family of veterans. His father, grandfather, and both of his sisters all served in either the United States Army, Air Force, or Navy. David served five years as an enlisted Marine, deploying to Desert Shield/Storm.
