$300,000 for Army Veteran’s Widow in WV for Missed Diagnosis of Metastatic Skin Cancer

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

We are happy to report securing a $300,000 settlement from the Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of a widow in West Virginia whose Army veteran husband died from metastatic skin cancer that was missed by his medical providers at VA hospitals in Clarksburg, West Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

After serving his country, this veteran became a prolific and well-respected artist. Upon resolving the claim against the VA, his widow kindly offered to donate a piece of her late-husband’s artwork, which we will proudly display in our offices in Richmond in his honor and memory.
