This is sickening. The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA medical center in Richmond, Virginia is one of three VA facilities left in the country that continues to run painful and fatal experiments and medical tests on dogs.
This VA hospital was just recently sued by a watchdog group over failures to make public certain information about these experimental surgeries and operations. The testing is performed even on puppies as young as six months old.
Some of the experiments involve "inducing heart attacks" in dogs and others are considered "maximum pain" experiments. Nearly 120 dogs are scheduled to be killed during these surgeries and medical tests.
